Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game
A battle report generator built from your actual Middle-earth game, not an army roster
Most Middle-earth battle reports never get written — the warbands go back in their cases, the table gets cleared, and the photos of that last heroic charge sit in your camera roll. Debrief turns what you already have — the photos you took and a couple of lines per turn — into a finished, readable dispatch.
Why most reports never happen
Writing one up by hand means remembering how the battle for the ford unfolded hours after it ended, picking through blurry table shots, and starting from a blank page. Most players skip it, even after a game worth remembering.
Where Debrief fits
Army builders & roster tools
- Build and cost warbands and heroes
- Track points and wargear
- Leave the writing to you afterward
Debrief
- Starts after the game, from your own photos
- Writes the round-by-round narrative for you
- Adds spoken narration, music, and a shareable video
Debrief doesn't replace your roster tool or your rulebook. It picks up once the last model falls and the game needs to become a story someone will read.
How it works
- 1
Log both sides. Player names, forces, and heroes — the fields follow the way you actually talk about your game.
- 2
Add a line or two per turn. What happened, and to whom — plain language, no rules-speak required.
- 3
Drop in your photos. Whatever you shot on your phone at the table.
- 4
File the dispatch. A written report, ready to narrate, export as video, or share by link.
Frequently asked
- Is this an army builder or roster tool?
- No. Debrief doesn't build warbands or check points — it writes the narrative after the game is over, from the photos you took and the notes you log each turn.
- Does it work for any scenario, from a skirmish to a big battle?
- Yes. Debrief doesn't check rules — you log the forces, the scenario and what happened each turn in plain language, so it works for any size of game.
- Can it follow individual heroes by name?
- Yes — the notes you log each turn can call out specific heroes and warriors by name, and the report follows them rather than treating each side as one faceless horde.
- Is my battle report used to train AI models?
- No. Report text goes through Anthropic's API and narration audio through OpenAI's API, and both providers state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models by default. See the Privacy Policy for details and provider links.
- Do I have to pay to use it?
- No. Written reports are free. An optional Patreon pledge unlocks recorded narration, video export, and a higher monthly report allowance.
